Galatians
November 24-30
Background: Read Acts 13:13-14:28. Paul visited Galatia and founded the churches of Galatia on his first missionary journey (48-49 AD). The date for the writing of the letter is uncertain - some think it was written shortly after he left Galatia (49-51 AD); some think it was written later (54-55 AD).
Purpose: Jewish Christian false teachers had come to the region teaching that Gentiles had to be circumcised and keep the Law of Moses in order to be disciples of Jesus.
